Up for sale is a cool and rare late 1960s Yamaha TA-60 “Wedge” 2×12 combo amplifier.
Yamaha's Flexion or “Natural Sound” speaker meant to mimic a piano soundboard and add significant coloration to the sound. Perfect for guitar, keyboards and bass too!
Its triangular monolith design, besides being highly unusual, houses the two rectangular angled speakers. The same speaker used in the Fender bantam Bass amp, but this larger model is very rare.
This amp is not in perfect condition, but it functions. It has a lot of wear, the worst of which is the lost covers at the bottom of the rear panel. It has some wear throughout, the worst of which is the lost back covers. We had a tech go through it entirely. He replaced many capacitors and "balanced the whole thing out." With 60 Watts and 33.5 inches tall, this amp can crank out a lot of sound! Cool and rare vintage amp.
