D&R Merlin with 2 x SSL Alpha Link and MX4 card

For sale is my D&R Merlin. This 48 channels inline, 12 stereo channel, console comes with 2 x SSL Alpha Link converters and Mogami cabling. There are 2 x SSL MX4 cards that come with all the additional effects. There is also 4 Studer transformers and an Alesis HD24 and Masterlink included in the purchase. There are 4 spare channels. With the Alpha link boxes you get SSL EQ and compression on every channel as well as two types of analog eq on the Merlin. The Merlin has Compressors and Gates on every channel as well. There is a complete control room section set up for four sets of speakers and surround. 

This console has been well maintained. Originally it was used by U2 to record their Canadian tour then used by the CBC ( Canadian Broadcasting Corporation ). The power supplies have been rebuilt and every switch in the audio path was replaced this year. The same tech has maintained the console for the last ten years. The right hand patch bay is TT Bantam.

This console is currently being used to record and mix commercial records in Southern Alberta at a private studio.

Most of the time I am using one side of the desk for one tracking set up and the other side for another tracking set up and using the 12 stereo channels as a summing mixer. Works great for having to leap frog bands and avoiding downtime. I can do three stereo head phone mixes through the Merlin and eight through the Alpha Links.

This console does not have flying faders but they can be retrofitted and software has been developed for automation with popular DAWs.

It comes with user manual and technical manual, plus a copy of the Eprom software for the routing computer.
