Removed from an original 1962 vintage Stratocaster.
We have ventured into extremely rare territory. You are looking at an extraordinary piece of Fender history. In the 60's customers could specifically request a tort 'guard on their Strat, and this is one of the rarest and earliest examples you're likely to see.
The tort is the rich, 3D swirling quality with a lot of color variation, far from the "meatball" tort or the mid to later 60's.
