Salvador Ibañez - In 1896, Salvador Ibáñez appeared for the first time in the commercial guides of Valencia on Calle Ruzafa and between 1898 and 1906 on Calle Bajada de San Francisco, and later in number 8 of Padre Rico street and finally to number 16 of Hospital street. Salvador Ibáñez made lutes, six and twelve string guitars, and also guitars with removable necks, as well as the necessary strings for each instrument. Along with other Valencian luthiers of that time, such as Francisco González and José and Manuel Ramírez, he was one of the first to bow the top of the guitar; and he is considered the first to manufacture a guitar with a double neck or a detachable guitar. Together with his sons Salvador and Vicente Ibáñez Salabert, he created a Regular Limited Partnership "Salvador Ibáñez e Hijos", and already in the early 20th century produced 36,000 instruments a year, and around a hundred workers worked in his workshop. His guitars were sold in various countries, including the Hispanic American market, the Philippines, and Japan; and his brand was considered a benchmark of quality Salvador Ibáñez died in 1920 and from that moment his two sons continued with the activities of society, each specializing in one activity; Salvador, in the workshop, and Vicente, in commercial relations.
