What's the deal with refurbished?
This instrument is stamped "used" on the back of the headstock and given a new serial number by the manufacturer-authorized refurbisher. Why? The Kramer Nite V Plus Charlie Parra was designed together with the up-and-coming guitar hero from Peru. The mahogany body in the typically aggressive Nite V design comes in a Candy Apple Red finish, while the maple neck offers unimpeded playability via the ebony fingerboard thanks to the "Slim Wide" profile. The combination of an EMG 57 at the bridge and an EMG 66 at the neck provides tight sounds that combine the organic attack of passive pickups with the enormous clarity of active pickups. The Kramer Nite V Plus Charlie Parra also features a Tune-O-Matic bridge, strings-thru-body design and precise Gotoh tuners.
This particular instrument has an area from the 6th fret to the 8th where you can feel the seam of the fretboard and neck slightly (the fretboard binding is slightly wider than the neck). There are some light scuffs on the tip of the headstock and some very light scuffs on the tip of one of the body horns. We have included close-up photos of each imperfection. Aside from what we have described, this instrument is in mint condition. It still even has the factory plastic on the pickups!
How Does It Play?
We have given this fine instrument a thorough pro setup to make sure it is playing its best and 100% ready for you. The neck is excellent and the action is low without buzz. We have it set at 5/64" on the low E at the 12th fret and 4/64" on the high E.
