ILITCH BPNCS Back Plate Noise Canceling System for Strat© style guitars
Enjoy the chiming single coil pickup tone
The BPNCS is an easy to install passive system. It contains an extremely low impedance coil assembly that effectively eliminates hum while keeping the true single coil tone intact. Strat© style guitars with a back tremolo cavity can be retrofitted with the BPNCS.
- Unscrew the guitar pickguard
- Remove the original back plate tremolo cavity cover
- Solder the wires to the existing guitar electronics
- Assemble back the guitar and you are ready to play hum-free.
You will be hearing more of the single coil pickup tone because of the missing noise
Note: The
outside dimensions of the BPNCS are slightly larger than the original
BP. They are about 3/8″ or 10mm larger in each direction.
Also, the Ilitch system reduces 60-cycle hum and the level of reduction
can be adjusted by removing the pickguard and adjusting the trim pot on
the circuit board. Please note that while it reduces noise, it does not
completely eliminate it, especially when using overdrive/distortion as these normally add noise to the signal.
