1977-83 Heerby LS-700BS
Heerby LP's were made in Japan by Kasuga, the same manufacturer that constructed early Navigator LP's. The LS-700 was Heerby's high-end offering (by 1980 there was also a LS-1200), made to compete with Tokai's Reborn-series, Burny FLG's and high-end Grecos. Should be nearly identical to an early Navigator.
Original Maxon pickups. The LS-700 is listed with PL-107 pickups in the catalog. I am not sure what would be the Greco equivalent, but it is the same pickup that went in the Heerby/Navigator SA-900, and seems to be Heerby's most expensive offering. Lower-end guitars got PL-103's.
Willing to sell the guitar without pickups.
Optional: Greco 'Double Trick' PAF's (2nd. best in 1982-, after Dry 82).
Body: 1-piece Mahogany back and solid plain top. Vintage top carve. Very thin, hand-applied finish.
Neck: 1-piece Mahogany with a very dark, even rosewood fretboard and fret-edge binding.
Pickups/Hardware: Original pickups, electronics and hardware. Very nice Maxon PAF-clones (PL-107), 500k pots and all braided wiring. High-quality Royce tuners.
Cosmetic Condition: Structurally good. A few scratches and dings. Naturally aged hardware.
Playability: The guitar has reasonably low fret wear and plays great. Sets up and intonates nicely. Clear acoustic tone with good sustain.
Modifications/Repairs: Professional neck repair, oversprayed with nitro. Missing one tuner back-cover (still working OK while stringed up).
Weight: 4,2 kg
Case: Original hard-case
