This is an increasingly rare small-bodied, semi-hollow guitar from the golden era Japanese made Ibanez guitars. The AM-100 Metallic Black was within their Artist Stagemaster Series. The guitar's dimensions are very similar to that of the newer Gibson ES-339 (and the cousin Ibanez AS-50).
I recently acquired this AM100 from its original owner who had bought it new in the 80s and hadn't gigged with it since then! It is wonderful condition for its age, basically a closet queen with only a few minor cosmetic blemishes. Side note: I also recently bought/sold a custom shop Gibson ES 339 - I was doing a shootout of the two guitars and found the Ibanez to play more effortlessly with its slim C neck and have a much clearer tones with its original, coveted Super 58 pickups. However, I've decided to let the guitar go because I remain in greatest favor of my Les Paul and Strat.
The Ibanez includes it's original hardshell case (one of the latches is a little loose). The one other disclosure I need to make is that the bridge pickup's volume pot is a little fussy when it's sitting on 10 and then touched, it needs to be cleaned or replaced. Other than that, no issues. Straight neck, functional truss rod, almost no fret wear, accurate tuners and once again- very clear sounding pickups. Set up with .11 gauge strings. If you are looking for an excellent and affordable semi-hollow guitar, look no further than this treasure!
