1979 Hiwatt Custom 100 DR103 Harry Joyce Handwired / Alessandro Serviced NEW F&T Caps Mullard Tubes

The glorious Hiwatt DR103 Custom 100 watt head. These amps have been used extensively by legendary players such as David Gilmour and Jimmy Page. Crazy loud and the lushest fullest tone you can get from any amplifier. Period. This is a mostly Original 1979 two input model. Hand wired by the legendary Harry Joyce, using the highest quality components of the day, Lots of Mullard capacitors! Power tubes are original B code Mullard EL34s, Original partridge transformers are as well! Freshly biased by George Alessandro at Alessandro High End Products. My local hand wiring expert. These are biased very hot by design and the tubes will show some mild red on the plates by design. Only original design Mullard tubes will hold up in these amps. Preamp tubes consist of two Vintage Mullard 12AX7 a vintage Telefunken 12AX7 and a generic 12AX7A. Sounds like a beast. All the electrolytic capacitors were replaced by Gerorge as well, using only the highest quality F&T capacitors. I have the original capacitors that I can include with your purchase! This is a solid example of a well kept and maintained DR103. See pictures for cosmetics. The tolex is in pretty nice shape, has a few dings and scuffs. Nothing major.
