Vintage 1960s Hofner Committee Thinline Brunette Electric Guitar 5.5lbs w/ Case

A truly special guitar, possibly one of the last Committee's ever made! This dates to the late 1960s, signalled from the 3 knobs (usually four) and the late 60s Hofner headstock. The wonderful 2' thick body really sits well on your lap, making it extremely easy to play. The original pickups in this sound absolutely unbelievable, with that classic 1960s sound. This guitar has been extremely well looked after, yet it's been gigged well in it's time. There is light crazing all over the body, and there has been 2x plugs put in the side - one for a strap button, and the other for an unknown reason. The neck has been off in the past, most likely shaved down to make it more playable (certainly worked!), and there is a missing piece of inlay, as pictured. The original machine heads have been replaced for newer ones, holding tune extremely well, and the back of the neck has a newer bit of pearl added. Comes complete with a hard shell case. This might not be the best conditioned guitar, but it is extremely sturdy and plays like a dream! If you're after a vintage Hofner to play, this is the one for you!
