Fully Restored Harman Kardon 730 Stereo Receiver - Dual Power Supply Design, Great Looks And Sound!

For sale is a fully restored Harman Kardon 730 stereo AM/FM receiver in fantastic cosmetic condition. These amps put out a healthy 40WPC into 8 Ohms and have fantastic phono and tuner sections to boot! This is one of the famous twin power supply designs that has two completely independent power transformers and power supplies for each channel!

Cosmetically the unit is in fantastic condition. Please study the pics carefully. It was detailed thoroughly inside and out. Also all lighting was changed to LED which will never fail and really makes the display pop! There is one ding in the bottom right corner of the faceplate that doesn't really stick out unless you look for it.

Electronically, every single transistor in the preamp and phono stage was updated to modern lower noise equivalents that will perform more consistently (critical on these old HK's!!). All electrolytic and tantalum capacitors in the audio paths were upgraded to ultra high quality modern parts. The power amp and protection circuits were also rebuilt with carefully chosen substitutes that maintain the original character of the design while increasing the reliability factor dramatically. The power supply is also rebuilt for the best performance.

Sound-wise, this amp has a ton of punch and detail! It hits way above it's weight class! The performance of the phono stage is phenomenal and the tuner pulls in stations beautifully after tweaking the alignment. This is one of HK's most famous receiver series for a reason!!
