This is a Gibson Custom Shop made Explorer XPL model made from 1985 thru 1986. This one is a 1985. Not many made so somewhat rare. Has original Dirty Finger Pickups. Recently replaced the bridge pickup with NOS 1982 Dirty Finger and a new bridge. Original pickup and bridge in case. The original pickup can be rewound. Very hot pickups at 16k ohms.
The neck is shaped about like a 1960 Les Paul. Great condition ebony fret board. Frets have lots of life left in them. It's the best playing neck I have ever played. Original tuners. Stays in tune quiet well for a Gibson.
The Kerry Green color is brighter than the pictures show. Looks great under stage lights. You will be noticed and most people have positive comments on the flashy shape and color.
In good condition. Has some character bumps but overall not bad for a 30 year old guitar.
Has non-original hard case in good condition also.
Recently professional setup. Has a low action and is easy to play.
