This is the original vintage effect “Compact Phasing “A” from the German company Gerd Schulte Audio Elektronik Berlin. It is from approx. 1974. Seriel No. is 11981A
These “Compact Phasing A” pedals were used by Kraftwerk, Klaus Schulze & Tangerine Dream, Ritchie Blackmore and many others. It is also called TD-Phaser, Schulze-Phaser or even Krautrock-Phaser.
The main controls are:
Modulation/Mix
Feedback
Osc. Period/Speed
Phasing Amplitude/Depth
This rare unit is able to produce lots of wonderful unique sounds from chorussy phaseshifting to whirly feedback-phasing. All 4 knobs interact – it really colors your sound in a warm analog way.
The Schulte Compact Phasing 'A' is in excellent and clean condition, and works perfectly. The original Compact Phasing circuit board by Gerd Schulte from 1974 has been installed in a van Daal Compact Phasing X enclosure. Please have a look to the photos, they are Part of the description.
All potentiometers and switches operate smoothly and without scratchiness. The pedal works with both 230V and 120V (switchable inside the enclosure).
The pedal is suitable for both guitarists and keyboard players. I will supply the Compact Phasing with a footswitch and the user manual (paper copy).
