Many boutique effects pedal manufacturers emerged in the early 2000s, but Xotic Effects distinguished themselves from the pack with favorites like the SP Compressor, EP Booster, and AC Booster. Specializing in more subtle pre-amp boosting than wild effects, these small, uncluttered boxes coming out of Los Angeles have quickly found a fan base.
