We're always excited to see what our pals at SolidGoldFX have in store (see our demo of the Surfrider III Reverb as a clear example), and are especially stoked to have the chance to show off a new limited edition version of the Imperial BC183 Fuzz. This fuzz box is based on the classic four-stage Big Muff circuit of the '70s, but adds a few modern tricks of its own. Its JFET based preamp adds a dose of transparency for the kind of expressive response that players have come to expect. The Imperial also packs a three-position toggle that alters the mid-range curve for more detailed control. As any vintage fuzz player will tell you, fuzzy mids can easily drag your tone into the soup of the overall mix, and the mid control switch let's you cater your sound to whatever live situation you encounter.
