The Echoplex was a highly sought-after preamp used by legendary guitarists such as Jimmy Page, Eric Johnson, and EVH, it really does just enhance your sound with that extra but of subtle compression, boost, and "oomf" to your playing.This pedal is designed to go in different places in your FX chain depending on your needs. For a more conventional boost and for the volume pedal to affect the level of overdrive in your tone, place the EP-Pro in front of your amp. For adding extra sparkle and nuance, you can put it after your amp's preamp in the FX-loop.
