Overview
The MXL Genesis II is a large diaphragm tube condenser microphone, and something of a hybrid between the company's standard Genesis model and V67i model. It uses a K67-type capsule, hand-selected Mullard 12AT7 tube, and transformerless electronics from the Genesis combined with the "dual voice" switch on the body of the microphone borrowed from the V67i. This is achieved by having the two sides of the capsule skinned with different thickness diaphragms.
