Google us! Lovies Guitar ShopLovies Guitars is excited to offer up this 2019 Gibson Custom Slash Signed 1966 EDS-1275 Double-Neck Reissue with an Aged Black Ebony Finish! Number 105 of only 125 made! Originally showcased during “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” on GNR’s Use Your Illusion tour, Slash’s black 1966 EDS-1275 is one of the most distinctive axes in his considerable collection. This limited-edition Gibson Custom Slash 1966 EDS-1275 Double-neck is a spot-on replica of this legendary instrument. With it, you can coax natural-sounding chime and chorus from the 12-string neck while churning out a searing solo with the 6-string neck. Gibson '68 Custom humbuckers give this EDS-1275 Double-neck the power, punch, and clarity of classic PAF pickups, while Authentic '66 Medium C-shaped necks with Indian rosewood fingerboards ensure a comfortable playing experience. This EDS-1275 is the real deal — Slash has been using it onstage with Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators for a while now. Hand signed and numbered by Slash himself, this Slash 1966 EDS-1275 Double-neck is limited to 125 guitars built and includes a vintage replica hard-shell case, a custom Slash concho guitar strap, and a certificate of authenticity. With this limited-edition Slash 1966 EDS-1275 Double-neck, you get two guitars in one. Its upper neck offers true 12-string performance — all the jangle and tone you can handle. Its lower neck is a standard Gibson 6-string, straightforward and sounds great. Best of all, both necks can be activated at the same time, enabling you to achieve spaced-out sounds with sympathetic vibrations (among countless other sonic textures). According to Slash, the EDS-1275 is a must-have convenience onstage. “If you have something that needs a nice rich, chordal kind of sound, you have the 12-string,” he indicated, “and then when you have a solo break or a heavy rhythm part, you can switch over to the 6-string. It saves you from having to keep another guitar next to you on a stand that you have to reach over and play.”
This Gibson Custom Slash 1966 EDS-1275 Double-neck is a tonal departure for Slash. Rather than arming it with his signature Alnico II humbuckers, it comes loaded with ’68 Customs. These pickups purport to replicate the tone of the original guitar and they’ve succeeded in nailing the tone and vibe of classic PAF humbuckers. Slash was reportedly so impressed with the tone of these pickups that he suggested at one point that they sound better than the original. “It’s a replica, but it also has a really amazing vintage sound,” he says. “In fact, it sounds better than a lot of my 6-strings.”When they designed this limited-edition Slash 1966 EDS-1275 Double-neck, the folks at Gibson Custom didn’t hold back — it's an exact re-creation, from its 1-piece solid mahogany body to its 1966-vintage medium C-shaped neck. Its Indian rosewood fingerboards boast 20 frets, celluloid split-parallelogram inlays, a 1 11/16“ nut width, and a 24-3/4" scale, along with a chrome tailpiece on the 12-string and a nickel tailpiece on the 6-string. On top of that, its finish has been aged to match Slash’s original instrument — every bump, scratch, and ding is there, right down to the belt buckle rash. This Slash 1966 EDS-1275 Double-neck has been hand signed and numbered by Slash himself and comes with a vintage replica hardshell case, a custom Slash concho guitar strap, and a certificate of authenticity. This guitar is in minty shape, rated at 9.9/10. All original and free of any breaks or cracks. Included with this guitar is an original hard-shell case, a complimentary sample of Fret-Not, our preferred fretboard cleaner, check it out at fretnot.net and a complimentary Cooper Standard Fin guitar pick—our favorite for enhanced control and reduced movement!
