In Store – Fender Telecaster Thinline, 1970 Series One, Natural, Maple NeckOn Reverb - We can look at buying your guitar/amp (in trade) if it's listed or you list it on Reverb.Tony Elder / Steve JacksonBlack Dot MusicEst 1985Would you like a fifty six year old Fender Tele thinline in original natural? This one is a beauty!Like a lot of Tele’s from this era and earlier, the front pickup was swapped out for a bucker. Since removed, the original pickguard is in case (if you’d like to put a H. Bucker back in). Needless to say an old repro guard was added as per pics. Currently fitted are two Kinman Tele Pickups (Very nice sounding) with a new switch. The 1966 pots are still there also, what appears to be the two original pickups to the guitar in case.At some stage it would appear a later model six saddle flat plate Fender standard bridge was fitted, hence a lesser aged footprint on the lacquer. The bridge fitted all the existing holes. The frets are original and still very playable as the guitar shows very little use for its age. Of coarse light and resonant and the classic late sixties D-shape neck. Overall, with some changes to the guitar over 56 years, it’s a very happy guitar. This guitar has been the bosses guitar for five years plus. Tony has been more into Martin and Gibson Acoustic of late. So we dusted it off and here it is.
