Video: The Coolest New Drum Gear from NAMM 2020

This particular NAMM 2020 has been a great showing for the drum world, with big and smaller boutique brands alike unveiling a lot of innovative, stylish, and exciting new gear for this year.

We've seen brand-new kits from various brands, like Yamaha's new compact and portable acoustic Stage Custom Hip drum set, Vox's new throwback-inspired Telstar reissue, and Gretsch's River Cypress Kit.

Brands like Zildjian and Paiste have released new cymbal lines for 2020, while Pearl dropped 40 new varieties of hand-crafted solid shell snares. Gretsch also joined in on the snare fun with a new Black Copper Snare, as did Yamaha with its extremely limited Steve Gadd Signature Snare.

But no one quite blew us away with its snare game like Ludwig, which released new pewter over copper snares, eight-lug Black Beauties, expanded Jazz Fest reissues, and a Carpathian Elm snare to boot. This is along with the release of the reissued L203 Speed King Pedal and new L204SF Speed Flyer, as well as the rebranding of the Keystone X series to Custom Oak with more customizable options.

Like I said, it was a great year for drums. Check out the video above to watch Jessica hit as many of the great drum booths as she can, and click the orange banner below for more news from NAMM 2020.
