TC Electronic Unveils New Ditto Looper, the Ditto+

Upon its release in 2013, the Ditto Looper quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the most major players in the looper pedal market. Across genres and skill levels, guitarists of all stripes flocked to the Ditto because of its solid feature set, steadfast reliability, small form-factor, and wallet-friendly price.

Over the past seven years, TC Electronic has continued to iterate on that original model, pushing the boundaries of what this handy little circuit can do. By our count, there have been seven models of the Ditto Looper released since the original pedal so far—and today, TC Electronic has announced an eighth.

In the video below, TC shows off what the new Ditto+ can do. "Instead of changing Ditto into something else," TC's video explains, "we've kept the same functionality and practical size, plus a few extras." And it's that combination of familiar and new that makes the Ditto+ super exciting.

With the original Ditto, your loops were lost as soon as you reprogrammed or moved onto something else. Now, with the Ditto+'s memory bank, players can store up to 99 loops (for a total of 60 minutes). And to make navigating those saved loops more of a breeze, the new Ditto+ has been outfitted with a small, high-definition screen for switching between saved loops.

Another feature, called "extended loop mode," has also been added to the Ditto+, which lets players lay down a long dub over a short loop in real-time. Rather than being limited by your loop length, it'll continue to repeat your loop endlessly so that you can overdub for as long as you'd like.
