Solid Mahogany Gold Tone PBS square neck resophonic guitar, designed by Paul Beard. “PBS” stands for Paul Beard Signature model. These guitars have been a favorite among resonator guitar enthusiasts for around 20 years or more. The secret to these is that they were designed by Paul Beard, a pre-imminent builder who is a favorite builder among the most accomplished players in the world. These are quite a step up from most off brand resophonic guitars.
These Gold Tone models are licensed by Paul Beard. These bodies are built in China, shipped to the U.S. and parts are installed and set-up is made by Paul Beard.
These are very well-made. We’ve sold these since they first came out in the early 2000’s.
They have Beard Aluminum-Magnesium alloy cones, Beard cast spider bridges, Beard Ebony & Maple bridge saddle inserts. Glossy lacquer. The fit & finish are great. The tone is great.
The Gold Tone serial numbers are not easily laid out where we can find them… but we can infer that it was made in 2016.
Comes with its Original Hard Case.
