Beginning his guitar-making career in 1968, Benedetto creates guitars that are simple yet undeniably elegant, free of excessive ornamentation, and backed by his solid woodworking techniques. He has had a major influence on many archtop builders, and his guitars are loved by countless top guitarists, including Johnny Smith, Kenny Burrell, Martin Taylor, and Pat Martino, earning him immeasurable trust and a proven track record.

This Fratello is a 2006 model, the final period during Benedetto's tenure at Fender, when he was producing guitars under the Fender subsidiary "Guild Benedetto."

This Fratello is a high-end model with a 17-inch Venetian-cut style body shape and lavish use of carefully selected premium tonewoods.
The body top is crafted from Master Grade European spruce, the back and sides are crafted from beautifully flamed Master Grade European flame maple, and the neck is crafted from select American flame maple. Other premium wood specifications include an ebony fingerboard and an ebony bridge and tailpiece.

Weighting just 2.89 kg, it's lightweight for a 17-inch guitar, and it delivers a rich, acoustic-like tone. The pickups are Benedetto's original floating pickups. The clear, solid tone is complemented by a beautiful, airy resonance, and the deep touch response, chord separation, and sound image are all impeccable, delivering a high-quality sound worthy of a high-end model.

While there are some paint cracks and occasional scratches on the cutaway and other areas due to age, the neck is in good condition, there's ample truss rod room, and 80% of the frets remain, making it in excellent playing condition. It comes with the original hard case.
