Throbber is a model with TL type shape that was lined up as ESP's original model for a long time and regrettably, its production has been completed.
This time, we have just received a Deep Aqua color model with gorgeous quilted maple top material that attracts our eyes. The neck shape is slim finished.
The neck shape is a slim U-shape that gradually changes to a V-shape.
The compact grip is comfortable even for those with small hands, and the combination with the finely satin-finished neck makes it easy to move from one position to another quickly and stress-free, even during long playing sessions.
The fretboard has a compound radius fretboard that gradually changes from 240R to 305R, and the frets are #214, which are about the size of a medium jumbo, allowing for easy handling of modern technical phrases and high quality playability.
The wood construction consists of a quilted maple top, chambered alder back, hard maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
The rich resonance from the chambered finish gives a sense of thickness and luster in the mid-low range, and the extended high range is an impressive combination.
Pickups are Seymour Duncan SH-2 Jazz and APH-1b Alnico II Pro.
The moderate output is well-balanced and fits easily to a wide range of genres. The clean tone has a good bouncy tone that reproduces phrases well, and you can enjoy an honest sound with fine nuances.
When driven, the sound is thicker and more lush, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, including rock.
The condition of the instrument has some scratches, dings and dents from age and use, some parts are dull, and there are some small cracks in the paint, but the frets are in good condition and the truss rod is working well.
This is an ESP quality instrument with good looks, a well-balanced sound structure, and easy handling at 3.10 kg.
