I’ve seen a few Istanbul 22” Legend DRY Rides…but a Factory Stamped “CRASH.” This is a very rare one!

This is one of the nicest cymbals I have. Dark. Smoky. Fast.
And true to form, this gorgeous 22” Crash is about 500 grams lighter than its Ride brother.
Hell the Ride makes a great crash…but THIS thing is phenomenal! Only 1858 grams and a bumble bee could play it with brushes and it would open up!

Mehmet has filed away under their "Jazz" line. Which is appropriate since this 22" is based off what was formerly known as the Mel Lewis Ride back when Agop and Mehmet still knew how to play nicely together.

HOWEVER, this being the "DRY Legend" the craftsmanship is NOTICEABLY different - dig the SUPER HEAVY HAND HAMMERING.

Here's Mehmet's take on this new Legend Dry:
"The new Legend Dry cymbals have the same profile and weight as Legend Cymbals, but the shallow lathing and hammered bell results more complex and drier sound."
For such a large Crash, this one-off gem has a very fast decay. It opens quickly and gets out of the way quickly too.
Very dark and low with a wonderful deep complexity. Makes a fantastic Paper Thin Complex Ride. One of the nicest THIN Crashes I have.  Amazing for recording.
Immaculate! A hard to find stunning 22”!
