Beyond Shimano BSJ14055P Japan Custom Build Series Snare Drum 14"×5.5"

The Japan Custom Build series is a made-in-Japan series that uses materials carefully selected by Beyond Shimano itself.

The materials are carefully selected from rare and valuable materials. In addition to materials suitable for conventional drums, we also try materials that have not been used before. It is a custom handmade product that uses only materials that Shimano himself has thoroughly examined and approved.

Custom order at a reliable plywood manufacturing factory in Japan. We use hard plywood that is made with more pressure than normal plywood.

This hard plywood is used to create shells in Beyond Shimano's workshop. Of course, we boast a high level of perfection in our own workshop, from bearing edge molding, painting, adjustment to assembly. Plywood that uses carefully selected materials, rare materials, and hard plywood, and is one of the best in a wide variety of materials.

We create hybrid plywood. We choose the best number of plies and thickness for the shell and reinforcement. We have built four types of bearing edges, thicknesses, and numbers of plies that make the most of the characteristics of the materials. Basically, we create a small number of varieties.

●All drum materials (plywood and other materials) are sourced from trusted Japanese suppliers. A wide variety of materials are selected in small quantities to create a sound that makes the most of the new materials.

●The shells are made 100% in the Beyond Shimano workshop using Japanese plywood.

●The plywood used is not the soft, highly flexible plywood used in the past, but rather hard plywood made under high pressure. The same goes for the reinforcement materials.

●Any plywood that is obtained is made in the Beyond workshop, and all finishing is done in the Beyond workshop.

●As a series, there is a limited run of about 10 units per model, and different materials and sizes are built each time.

As this is a used item, there are scratches and stains, but nothing significant. It is a beautiful item.
