Outstanding Design, Details, and Sound in a Robust Dreadnought

Get the classic, full-bodied tone of a dreadnought with the Guild D-140CE. This robust acoustic-electric features a solid spruce top and solid mahogany body for full, rich acoustic tone. A rosewood fingerboard offers outstanding response and playability as well, ideal for flat-picking and finger-picking alike. Strum the D-140CE with big, open first-position chords and hear the sustain and resonance that make the Westerly series acoustics a favorite among guitarists. The D-140CE also features a Guild/Fishman GT1 with Sonicore pickup for stellar amplified acoustic tone, and a deep cutaway for effortless access higher up the neck for lead runs and varied chord voicings.

A legendary series
The Westerly series of Guild acoustics taps into the company’s second chapter after relocating its design and build headquarters from New Jersey to a Rhode Island furniture factory. This larger, improved space afforded a new direction and dedication to improving their already excellent craftsmanship. And the D-140CE is part of that tradition as it reflects impeccable build details and fine appointments — all with a focus on improved tone and durability. A genuine rosewood bridge and real bone nut and saddle enhance tone and resonance on the D-140CE. In addition, scalloped spruce X-bracing provides additional resonance and sustain enhancement as well as ensuring long-term durability.

Awesome amplified tone
The Guild/Fishman GT1 with Sonicore pickup in the D-140CE is a wonderfully designed system that naturally and fully translates the acoustic tone of this fine instrument. The sound is full and dynamic onstage, and pairs great with a microphone for recording parts at home or in the studio. Volume and tone controls are mounted directly in the soundhole for easy access, and a look that won't detract from your guitar's natural beauty.
