An attenuator compatible with 4/8/16 ohms, developed under a licensing agreement with Trainwreck.
Alongside Howard Dumble, Ken Fischer of Trainwreck is regarded as one of the top two handmade amp builders. In the 1980s, he designed the Air Brake for volume control of his amps, and after several modifications, it was finally commercialized. This model inherits the design of the Air Brake, emphasizing sound quality.
Designed with sound quality in mind, the attenuation ranges from -7.2dB to -30dB. This makes it a perfect choice for those who want to prioritize sound quality while still maintaining a certain level of volume.
The Attenuator knob offers five levels of adjustment: 0, 1 (-1.8dB), 2 (-3.6dB), 3 (-5.4dB), 4 (-7.2dB), and Bedroom mode (~-30dB). In the Bedroom position, the attenuation can be further fine-tuned with the Bedroom Level knob on the right. Among the various attenuators available, this model is highly regarded for its minimal sound degradation and its ability to accurately reproduce tight highs and lows.
