Yamaha G-228 late 70s to early 80s - gloss

If you love Yahaha guitars, this vintage Yamaha G228 is an excellent choice! This guitar features a very solid design with a solid spruce top, cedar back, mahogany neck and fretboard. The Yamaha G228 is a vintage model which is becoming increadingly rare on the market (it's built around the late 70s to early 80s) and as time goes its price will grow.

The strings currently on the guitar should probably be replaced (some metal coating on the bass strings is peeling off, and the bass "E" string is from a different set), but even with these strings, the guitar has a warm, full, and resonant sound. If the guitar doesn't sell, I may change the strings and update the ad to reflect this change.

The fretboard is smooth with no buzz on any frets. The guitar is overall in good condition for its age (see photos for reference). The front looks beautiful, but the back has multiple scratches on the lacquer surface that are especially visible when you tilt the guitar against the light at different angles while inspecting it.

As mentioned, the tone is very resonant and warm, with well-balanced bass and treble. At your request, I can record the sound of this guitar or make a video. Please send me a message if you would like a sound sample.
