Gibson Custom Historic R9 Les Paul Standard 1959 Reissue Figured Maple Top in Washed Cherry Finish made in 2004 with original hard shell case. This guitar features a solid mahogany body with a bound Figured maple top, 1-Piece mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard. Upgraded with a set of Seymour Duncan humbucker Pearly Gates Set in the neck and bridge position. Controlled by 2 volume, 2 tone pots and a 3-Way toggle switch with upgraded pots and bumble bee capacitors. The 24.75" scale length neck has pearloid trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets on a 12" radius with a 1959 rounded profile. The hardware is comprised of aged nickel Gibson vintage deluxe tuning machines with keystone heads, a bone nut, a Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and gold top hat knobs with a cream pickguard.

This guitar is in overall very good condition with some signs of play. there are some light surface marks a few light dings/ dimples and some light belt rash on it's back. (see pics)
Guitar is freshly setup and restrung with 10-46 strings. Includes Original Hard Shell Case and COA.

  • The 2003 - 2006 Custom Shop '59 Les Paul Reissue updated the original model with Gibson's Burstbucker pickups. It also featured a mahogany body with a figured maple top and a Vintage '59 neck profile with a rosewood fretboard.
  • It was produced in Heritage Cherry Sunburst and Heritage Darkburst, among other limited run finishes. It was also available with a Brazilian Rosewood Fretboard in 2003.
  • In 2006, Gibson Custom Historic began producing these models with a VOS finish.
