The NJ4 70's Wind pickups are a variant of Nordstrands highly acclaimed NJ4 set. The main difference is the use of enamel wire instead of the Heavy Formvar wire found in the "standard" NJ4 pickups.
These are vintage single coil J style pickups made with 70’s era correct enamel wire and Alnico V magnets. In winding these pickups we use a simulated hand wound pattern that lowers the resonant peak of the pickup resulting in a pleasing yet present high end. These pickups have a very even and full sound with that snap and grind associated with the classic basses of that time. This set includes the two single coil pickups and black covers (exposed pole pieces).
