1960s Schoenhut Children's Toy Upright Piano Two Octave Near Mint Birch Cabinet & Matching Bench!

Small 1960s era made in USA Schoenhut children’s two-octave toy upright piano with original matching bench. Beautiful little stained birch cabinet in near perfect condition with incredible sound being produced by mounted metal tines various lengths, depend on pitch, being struck with good velocity by a keyed hammer. None of these are perfectly in tune, yet all of them are close. In spite of minor tuning needs these small pianos are used frequently in recording studios to add a unique flavor, juvenile voice or indie production value that cuts through the higher frequency range of any track. Also great for Phil Specter type big production bells easily heard on top of any over produced track. Sold as novelty musical instrument and toy many of these were purchased, played with, broken and thrown away.
