First of all this is NOT a Dave Gilmour Strat, but a genuine USA American Strat with some extras, namely the Custom Shop case, Custom Shop picks and the 3rd Edition of the book ‘The Black Strat‘.
Back story on this one is one of the bigger Fender dealers in Melbourne had their Gilmour stolen, some enterprising employee then ordered US lookalike and appropriate ‘guard, put it together with the case they were left with and on sold it to a client who on sold it to us several years later.
It’s a wonderful Strat with some extra mojo, plays exceptionally well and would be a good road warrior if you have a Gilmour and don‘t wish to risk it on gigs.
We will supply a replica Gilmour / Hendrix leather strap too. Photo uploaded soon, original featured in the Black Strat book.
