About This Listing

Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a somewhat rare and very unique late 1940's era Electro Voice 910 crystal microphone. Before the E.V 911 & E.V 611 there was the 910. This mic comes with a period E.V 423A model desk stand shown as well as a short cable. It's going to make a lovely display piece anywhere in the office, studio or home.

Pic # 2 is from an old 1946 E.V catalog showing this very model.

Pic # 3 shows a musician using either a 910 or 610 mic back in the day.

The 910 has a more aggressive look than the later 911 model which had the lower pistol grip / joint mechanism.

This mic was made for just a few short years so you don't see too many of these mics around.

It should be noted that the original element is still in this mic but it's non-working so this should be used for display, prop or repair purposes only. There is plenty of room inside the housing if one wanted to do an element swap but that will the buyers choice. A Shure Controlled magnetic or controlled reluctance element would work as well.

This 910 still has it's original E.V badge which many of these I have found are missing so this will be appreciated by it's new owner.

The polished chrome body has a few scratches and a nick associated with these older microphones but otherwise it's in very nice physical condition and they very rarely come as nice as this. No engravings, missing or broken parts. The black cloth screen is free of any rips or holes and looks incredible. The E.V emblem looks very nice. Cable and stand threads are perfect. This particular style of mic has that classic "Rockabilly" style and that sets it apart from the others.

MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS PART OF THIS SALE...

The 910 comes with a gorgeous period E.V 423A desk stand. The stand has a lite weight aluminum base with a satin chrome finish as does the 6 inch chrome riser / stem. The stand compliments the 910 nicely as well providing a stable platform.

With the mic on top the total height is 10 inches. The base is appx 5 inches wide. All 3 original pads are in excellent condition.

A short 7 inch cable is provided with a female 1/4 inch end connector for cosmetic purposes and the cable does work so if you ever replace the element in the mic you'll be ready to go. Simply attach any longer male 1/4 inch cable for extra length.

As with all my vintage microphones...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. Buyer must pay within 24 hours or an unpaid case will be opened and the item will be relisted. Domestic buyer will get priority shipping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for looking.
