This nice vintage blackface amp’s been here in my home studio for the past two decades and had very limited use (My little '65 Vibro-Champ is the go-to most of the time).  Shortly after purchasing the Princeton reverb I had our tech at Erickson Audio (in Bellevue, WA) go through the chassis.  These are the folks most Seattle pros (famous and otherwise) use in the Pacific Northwest.

He verified the amp was produced in August, 1965 and was still completely stock, including the original Fender 10J4-3 speaker.  For safety, all the capacitors were replaced (including the infamous “Death Cap”) along with one tube.  He proceeded to re-solder broken ground connections and rebuild for low noise and reliability: All the potentiometers were cleaned and lubed. He burnished and treated the preamp tube pins, replaced the burned-out jewel bulb, changed to a three-pronged power cord and tightened all hardware.  I’ll be sure to include the removed original parts you see pictured and the receipt for the service done.  Also included is the factory "on-off" reverb stomp pedal original to the rig.

There’s little to no wear on the tolex and original grille cloth because it’s always been kept out of sunlight covered by a vintage fitted Victoria Luggage Co. cover (needing to have a seam re-sown). The carry handle is very solid with just a bit of corrsion on the chrome end covers.  Overall, a very nice, solid old blackface ready to just plug and play upon arrival.

Since the service work was completed I’ve used this amp fewer than 20 hours total and now, facing retirement, it’s time for the next caretaker to enjoy it!
