Keith Roscoe LG3005 Fretless - Natural

I have loved Keith Roscoe's basses since I held my first one back in the '90s and after acquiring this instrument, I see that his craftsmanship and quality have held up quite well over the years. Although I just don't have the goods to master the fretless bass, the sheer beauty and majesty of this LG3005 made me want to give it a go and so I did. For as long as my roommate could stand it...

The tone of this bass is awe-inspiring and extremely versatile. From the huge, round lows to its crystal clear highs, you can pull almost any tone you want out of this bass. The mid "wahs" are glassy and if you are able to solo on a fretless bass, you'll be very impressed with this one's ease of play. It's virtually effortless. The twin Bartolinis more than hold their own in the tone department and the overall construction of the bass is practically flawless.

This Roscoe is very clean and well-preserved. Dating these basses can be difficult, but we assume it's an earlier version because of the Wilkinson bridge and 3000's serial number. Any information or help in this area would be greatly appreciated! There is a small patch of very light belt wear on the back (as pictured,) but these could possibly be buffed away. There are also some light string marks on the upper register of the fretboard and it appears that at one time, the prior owner put roundwound strings on the bass. We quickly rectified that and installed a brand-new set of D'Addario Flatwqound Chromes, gauges 0.45-.132. The original case is also in clean condition with all zippers properly operational.
