According to Gruhn's book, what we have for sale is a Gibson BR-3 lap steel guitar built ONLY in 1946. The guitar looks pretty good, but has been around. One repaired crack on the back side. No big dings or dents. The case has suffered while doing its job of protecting the guitar. It's all-original except for one large difficulty. The original pickup has bee replaced by an old "speed bump" from the 50s or 60s. The pickup sounds very good-powerful and clean but takes this instrument out of the collector category. Too, the jack mount has been changed. For these reasons we are offering this steel at a very nice price.
