audiophile NAKAMICHI RX-505 cassette deck auto-reverse

This audiophile quality auto-reverse 3 head casstette deck was Nakamichis alternative to their famous Dragon auto reverse machine. for this design however, instead of the heads reversing, they remained in place and the tape was reversed.
To Nakamichi, 3-Head always means three discrete heads, physically independent record, playback and erase heads that are perfectly optimized and critically aligned in magnetic azimuth to ensure flat response to beyond 20 KHz and optimum MOL.
This example has had very limited use, and is in immaculate condition, showing little sign of wear.
