I have a nice Kiesel Osiris 7 string guitar here with it's ultimate soft case.
Conditionally this one is in excellent condition with light signs of use that i will describe for you.
There is one indentation on the body top below the neck pickup about 2 millimeters in size. Sort of a round soft surface bump in the finish. Below the pickups there is about square inch section of "glossing" on the satin finish. This is common on matte finishes and is from the normal frequent body contact rubbing the satin finish to make that section look more shiny. Not a huge deal and pretty much the eventual nature of satin finishes in that area. I see an even smaller shiny spot on the forearm area near right on the Korina wood bevel.
Beyond that it looks exceptionally clean. I cannot find any marks of note to single out. Nor any patterns of superficial playwear. Any superficial surface swirling or minute signs of use will be very minimal and scattered, i do not see a sheen or collection of that sort of playwear. The satin finish especially on the body back looks beautifully clean with a woody natural appearance. I see just faint minute traces of use on the body back with no buckle rash or worming.
The neck looks great as well. I can find no dings on the shaft or any issues with the frets. It plays great. Nice and dialed in. And the electronics work as they should.
So overall i will rate this one a 9.1/10 and grade it as excellent. The only noteworthy marks on this guitar is one round indentation and one small patch of glossing on the finish. There is not a collection or marks nor a sheen of scratches or playwear. The bulk of the finish looks gorgeous throughout. It's structurally and sonically sound in all areas.
Spec wise i will go over the basics of what i know on this one.
* Ash body satin natural
* Korina top satin natural
* Maple neck factory tung oil finish
* Royal Ebony fretboard (with brown streaks) * Lithium pickups with 5 way switch
* SS frets either jumbo or medium jumbo
This build really shows the beauty of natural wood, with no coloration needed. Satin finish accentuates this.
Tonally this guitar is on the tight, punchy side. Here is how it breaks down. Ash has what is known as "pop" it has aggressive projection and has a focused tight sound. Maple topped with ebony is the most bright and clear of all the common neck combo's. You use that combo to give a guitar more note definition and articulation, that's why you see it so much on shred guitars. The Korina top is the only "warm" wood in the mix and this adds some sweet midrange to the tone for counterbalance. That said Korina is more aggressive and punchy than mahogany or alder. So overall we have a nice sharp, precise tonality from this guitar. That is a good idea for a 7 string because inherently 7 strings have a lot of bass and low mids and can tend to sound dark or "loose" in comparison to a 6 string. The wood selection here is well chosen and slightly unique because you rarely see a Korina top on an Ash body even though it's a great combo.
If you have seen some of my listings here over the years, you know i am very high on the Kiesel brand. As a guitar player myself this brand has been my personal favorite, and i feel they offer perhaps the best pure value in performance and quality at this price point. Every aspect of their guitar building is innovative and top notch. From the use of dual carbon rods to stabilize the necks. flawless SS fretwork, specially processed/treated wood that maximizes the harmonic content, gorgeous and durable finishes. They in my opinion fully deserve the acclaim and following that they have garnered in the last few years.
The appeal of Kiesel headless guitars that i like is this is a very light guitar that does not sound light. The headless design makes a for a compact ergonomic guitar, but it has a nice full sized resonating body that has excellent low mids and bass. The entire layout of this design makes for easy access and playability. It's a guitar that has no real encumbrance that you feel while playing long sessions with.
NOTE that currently Sales Tax will be charged in most states and Reverb has opted to cancel the External website that allowed for Tax free checkout. This was very popular and is missed. To those inquiring about any Tax free options. Because of this i am also selling on my shop on a social media FB page. You can find info on my Reverb Shop profile page here. But i cannot steer and guide you to there out of respect and compliance to Reverb. If you want a guitar on Reverb you have most likely will pay state sales tax so factor that into your purchase.
I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
Thank you for reading and considering!
