For sale - a vintage Maxon DM1000 in great condition and full working order. The DM1000 is a previously used item that exhibits signs of cosmetic wear and is fully operational and functions as intended.

The Maxon DM1000 is a great early 80's unit. Maxon, who turned out Tube Screamers and other top quality effects for Ibanez. The DM1000 offers clean, clear delay and related time-based FX such as Chorus, Flanging, etc. The DM-1000 offers delay times up to 900ms at 8Khz bandwidth. The delay-time is adjusted using a combination of 2 controls - One 'switching time' selector and then a PLUS/MINUS multiple pot to adjust the chosen delay range up or down in time to the required delay in Milliseconds. The rest of the unit is also typical of early 80's delays, featuring further control pots to adjust Modulation and Feedback etc.

A simple, useful no frills delay unit which also has a 'sample' or rather a 'HOLD' button - This HOLD button simply captures the incoming sound into the memory-chip and HOLD it there before it was delayed and then sent back out of the unit for a cool looping effect that is also footswitchable. Once the loop is captured, you can then adjust the delay time and the captured 'sample' will raise/lower in pitch/time for really cool effects. Works great as an adjustable metronome.The straight delay is warm and buttery - not harsh or brittle. And because the DM-1000 has knobs instead of cursors, you can do all sorts of wacky real time echo-fx by latching the HOLD button and then tweaking the captured sound into all sorts of floating weird emanations!
