Vintage RARE 1930's Shure S41A model desk stand w riser 55 55S 737A

 You are looking at a rare 1930's era Shure Brothers S41A model microphone desk stand with original riser. This unique mic stand was one of the first examples offered by Shure Brothers when they first started a s a company and these early examples are getting very hard to come by. This is only the 3rd example i have ever seen or offered in the past 12 years. The S41A has a cast iron painted base with a 6 inch painted steel riser.

 This S41A stand is ideal for smaller to medium sized microphones. A larger sized mic will just be too top heavy for this stand and will be more prone to tip over. You can put a Shure 55 "Fatboy" on this stand but be very careful if you do and make sure it's in a safe place.

 The S41A is built like a tank and virtually impossible to damage. It comes with it's original black crinkle painted finish and even has part of the original painted Shure logo on the base. The painted finish does show wear in the form of some scuff marks and a few tiny paint chips but otherwise very good. The 6 inch riser shows a bit more wear. please let eh detailed pics be your guide.

 The cast iron base has a rear exit hole for a cable if you decide to mount an older crystal mic on this piece.

 I did add 3 new felt pads and the original felt pads were all but missing. Mic stand is appx 7 inches tall X 4 1/4 inches wide.

 I would give this stand an honest 7 on a scale of 1 - 10 physically speaking. If you demand RARE for that vintage mic collection or special older Shure mic...this S41A will certainly do the trick.
