With just a volume pot you can get a variety of characteristic voice and responses. Starting a with mellow tone at low volumes. More compression and brighter overtones coming in from the midway point. Turning into a throaty snarl when the volume is at maximum.
Engaged the rear tonal switch for more gain for easier breakup and bite.

This output transformer is made in England by a traditional and long-standing transformer winding company. It’s designed for use in single-ended 6V6 valves. The primary impedance is 5k ohms and it has 4, 8 and 16 ohm speaker taps. It’s clamp-mounting, with standard solder lugs for primary and secondary connections. For those who worry about such things, the transformer uses grain-oriented laminations. Audio performance is equal to equivalent Hammond SE output transformers, -1dB at 100Hz with no negative feedback, and flat frequency response to well over 10kHz. It sounds fantastic for both medium- and high-gain guitar circuits.
