1964 Selmer Mark VI tenor Sax- Minty Closet Classic w/ Pro Overhaul!
It’s not everyday that you come a across a mark vi in this kind of condition. Available now is a hirn that’s most likely spent the majority of its life in the case. The serial number is 114xxx and this horn is gorgeous. No dents or resolders and the neck is original with matching serial number. You can still see the black paint behind the “S” on the neck. What’s makes this one extra cool is it has an added engraving that was a bIt outside of its normal design. To the right of the selmer logo there is extra floral work. All of these were done by hand so who knows why the engraver did it but it kinda makes this extra neat. Around 98% of the original finish remains. On top of being a rare physical example - it’s a great player with a powerful voice. It’s been overhauled by Saxquest and they used metal domed resonators. This is a very special horn- and it doesn’t come cheap, but what a remarkable piece of Selmer history! Don’t forget to like our Facebook page- “Blue Note Winds”
