Some improvements have been made only for the safety of the device:

  • High voltage secondary fuses circuit.

  • Use of a two-pole switch for mains.

  • Installation of the mains fuse on the phase.

  • Removal of the polarity reversal circuit linked to the phase switch.

Two improvements have been made which do not affect the sound:

  • Replacement of the carbon layer resistors (source of noise) feeding the anodes of the preamplifier tubes with military grade Dale RN70D resistors with very low noise levels.

  • Improved bias adjustment circuitry to allow precise adjustment by potentiometer accessible from the rear.

All wiring is done with NOS single-stranded wire made by Belden.

All soldering is done with silver-filled Stannol tin to prevent oxidation.
