About This Listing

Up for sale, a 2021 Fender Heritage 60s Jazzmaster in mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with all hangtags. Sourced brand new directly from Toyko, this Heritage Series Jazzmaster was designed in conjunction with Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Mark Kendrick, using profiling data from Fender USA for vintage-spec body and neck profile carves. This retooled top-tier Fender Japan Jazzmaster model exceeds the quality of even Fender Japan's previous VSP series, standing toe to toe with the American Vintage and Original lines.

Extremely rare outside Japan, this Jazzmaster boasts a gloss nitro lacquer finish, anodized gold pickguard, black bobbin USA pickups, USA-made CTS pots, and cloth-covered leads used throughout the harness. For players that gravitate towards the top quality fit and finish for which Fender Japan is known, there is no finer Jazzmaster than the Heritage 60s model.

With a transparent "White Blonde" finish over a solid ash body and factory installed gold anodized pickguard, this Jazzmaster replicates the model's introductory specs and has the midrange authority and note attack consistent with ash as a tonewood. A textbook example of everything we love about the Jazzmaster, the instrument has plenty of twang and sparkle on tap, with a range of powerful and defined tones from the two USA-made black bobbin single coil pickups, and warm, wooly sounds when switched to the Rhythm Circuit on the guitar's lower body horn. Lightweight at 7lbs 10oz, this Jazzmaster has been setup to perfection here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset instruments with fresh 10-46 strings, low action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has a chunky C-shaped profile carve with full shoulders and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .860" deep at the 1st fret and .980" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard is an extremely dark and tight-grained cut, and the original slender frets are flawless. The scale length is a full 25 1/2", the fretboard has a vintage Fender-spec 7 1/4" radius, and the bone nut measures 1 5/8" in width. The headstock sports a Pre-CBS style "Spaghetti" Jazzmaster logo, with single line Kluson-style Fender Deluxe tuning machines which turn smoothly and hold pitch well. The "Made in Japan" designation and "JD21" prefix serial number are present on the back of the headstock.

All of the electronics function flawlessly, and the wiring is stock including the USA-made CTS pots, cloth covered leads, and black bobbin pickups. The vibrato unit works smoothly in concert with the bridge, and the chrome plating is flawless. Fender used USA plastics for this model as well, and the clear protective factory film is still intact on the pickup covers. The anodized gold aluminum pickguard has a proper vintage-spec tint and graining, and the gloss White Blonde nitro lacquer finish is flawless.

The original padded Fender gigbag is included, along with all hangtags.

***We are dealers for the Mastery M1 bridge, Offset Vibrato, and Lollar Jazzmaster pickups, any or all of which can be installed prior to shipment for an additional charge***
