This listing is for a very cool Vintage 1965 Epiphone Wilshire 12 String Electric Guitar. This guitar was made by Gibson for Epiphone in Kalamazoo, Michigan in circa 1965. The guitar plays and sounds great and looks lovely. It's definitely one of the most comfortable and easy to play electric XII string guitars I've played. Nut width on this guitar is 1 and 9/16ths, which is typical for this era Epiphone guitars. The guitar is all original and has no changed parts. When I first received the guitar the neck was slightly loose in the neck pocket. I had the neck professionally reglued and now it's solid and the guitar looks great and plays wonderfully. The neck didn't need to be removed from the pocket for the re-glueing. It's the type of thing most people wouldn't even be aware of and there isn't much visual evidence of the re-glue other than some light finish chipping right around the neck joint. The neck was never cracked or broken and the neck just became slightly loose over the years and needed re-gluing which happens on some of the Gibson and Epiphone guitars over the years. There is a filled screw hole from a strap button that was added at the back of the body but it's not a dowel. The guitar has a lovely looking original cherry finish that is vibrant red and looks excellent. The guitar has some typical play wear you would expect on a 55 year old guitar. There are some deeper nicks and dings on the back of the neck and front and back of the body. The action is low and comfortable on the guitar and the neck angle is excellent with room on the bridge to raise or lower the action or string height as desired. Please look at the pictures and message with questions. The guitar comes with a non original case and will be expertly packed for safe shipping.
