Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at an Electro Voice model 611 dynamic microphone complete with the cable and box shown. This unique design came right out of Buchanan, Michigan during the 1950's and has a look all it's own with it's clean, pleasing lines and curves. It works like new with a 100% signal. She sounds excellent for an old dynamic microphone and set at high impedance.

You can see how many sellers on Reverb are rating their 611 model mics at "Very good" to "Excellent" which is absurd. Their examples are in much rougher condition with tons of cosmetic wear and asking way too much for the condition they are in. Some are even missing parts. You'll find my rating system to be spot on.

Picture # 2 is from a 1950's catalog showing basic specs on this mic. Pic # 3 is from another 611 I sold to The Marvelous Ms. Maisel set a few years back and used in several scenes.

This 611 utilizes the dynamic element instead of the crystal which the E.V 911 model came with. This mic has been thoroughly cleaned and tested. The original element is still inside the housing. The 611 was used as an affordable general purpose mic. It would make a great harp mic as well due to it's high Z setting. The 611 has what I would describe as a "Rockabilly" sound. More of a mid range tone with omni-directional characteristics. This mic could be used for display or prop purposes as well.

As seen in the pics provided...the polished chrome finish has a very nice luster despite the physical wear in the form of spots of pitting located mostly on top of the head of the mic. Mic is a conservative 8 on a scale of 1 - 10 physically speaking. Please let the pictures be your guide. I try to provide the most detailed, up close photos available so you know exactly what you are getting and no buyers remorse so common with these older mics. The joint mechanism holds strong and the on / off switch mechanism works just as it should. No issues.

The stainless steel mesh screen looks beautiful with zero wear. No tarnish, odors or dents. Threads for the cable and stand are perfect and this mic will screw onto any American desk or floor stand. The E.V badge looks very clean as well. It's one of the nicer looking 611's I've seen in a while and I have even had one to offer in several months now so this probably won't last long.

 Included...

The 611 comes with a nice vintage Amphenol cable that's in great usable condition. It's only 7 inches long and comes with a quality Switchcraft male XLR end connector. The cable is soft and pliable. Free of any cracks or dry rot. The XLR connection is balanced so you can use any longer XLR cable as an extension and have a strong perfect signal. Just leave the short cable on the mic at all times. So much more practical.

An old E.V mic box is also included and while it shows a bit of wear it still works great and a good place to store the mic when not in actual use. A great accessory for resale value as well.

MICROPHONE STAND IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.

 As always...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. INTERNATIONAL BUYERS are welcome as well. Buyer must pay within 24 hours or an unpaid case will be opened and item relisted. Domestic buyer will get priority shipping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for looking.
