I've never seen this brand of bass before. I can't find any info at all on it. It definitely looks pre-1980. It says US on it so I'm going with American made but I suppose there is a possibility that it is Japanese.

Seems like it may have had a bridge cover and string trees at one time but they are not there now. it is a short scale bass (29 3/4) and is 42" long overall. I believe the original Gibson SG Bass is 30.5" so it's a slightly shorter scale even.

Looks like a Maple neck, rosewood fingerboard and a single piece slab of alder or ash or maybe even pine. There is a really cool looking cross-grain on the bottom end! And the whole thing has that awesome vintage yellowing going on that I love.

I just have no historical info on this bass at all. The only thing I know is that the person I bought it from got it used at a music store in Encinitas, California in the late 80's. It has tons of mojo!

Sounds and plays great!
