A&M Studios Custom Recording Console - Circa 1969

This legendary console was custom built by Howard Holzer for A&M Studios in 1969. It was in service through the 70's and certainly a significant contributing factor to the amazing sonic quality of A&M Records releases during the period.
A&M Studios exclusively used custom built  Holzer consoles in ALL of their studios during this time period...5 altogether - this desk is one of two that were fitted with mic pres (the other three were line level mix only desks).
It's believed to be the only fully functional A&M console left in the world 

Some of the artists that recorded on these custom desks include: Carole King, Herb Alpert, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Phil Spector, The Carpenters to name a few - which produced some of the best sounding records of the era.
NOTE: I have historic photos of some of these sessions which I'd be happy to share with anyone that wishes to see them...unfortunately - due to potential conflict of interest issues posting them with the ad has been disallowed
The console is fully discreet, transformer balanced, with an amazingly flexible patch bay (3 insert points per channel as an example)
Configuration: - 24 input x 16 buss x 24 monitor with 4 effects and 2 cue sends (monitor and cue paths patch to mix - ergo - 48 mix inputs with 6 aux busses)
I also have a complete 24 channel input section from one of the three line level mix consoles (which I'll include as part of the sale - for expansion, or, just the best spares kit - ever)
The refurbishment and restoration process will be underway shortly, so the console will be completed in the very near future. (It went into storage in perfect working order, so it's a matter of cleaning/recapping/testing to bring it back on line.)
This is an opportunity to own one of the most important audio consoles in American recording history...it's legacy is quite simply - second to none.

For the record: This sale would be completed through a bank wire transfer once an on site visual/technical inspection of the console by an interested party has been completed. I have plenty of pro audio industry references for this type of transaction
