Tokai Super Edition Special Series SD-70 1984-86 Japan Metallic Red

Special Release Tokai Super edition that was released in very limited numbers between 1984-86 in Japan. Never seen another one and probably never will. Great guitar that as soon as you pick it up feels like quality. The 70 and up guitars from Tokai during this period were outstanding. Alder body, maple neck and rosewood fretboard, Extra Tokai tremolo system, slick red metallic finish and specially designed humbuckers that sound excellent. No real fretware and the neck plays very nicely. Quality locking deluxe tuners. Weighs about 3.8kg. Plays like a great strat with humbuckers, you get all the bell like tones clean and when distorted it's awesome. Electrics all good. There is 1 threaded screw on the tremolo that is difficult to adjust for intonation and the tremolo arm has broken off in the hole. The condition of the body is very good for it's age with just light player wear and scratches with no serious damage.Guitar plays great and is all quality. Comes with the original branded padded gigbag.
